The architectural lighting design firm has renewed its lease for 18,300 square feet at 22 W. 19th St., between Fifth and Sixth avenues, for eight years. The asking rent for the entire sixth floor was $30 per square foot.

In fact, one of the firm’s principals lives in Princeton, N.J., so they considered moving there, he added.

“We gave them a deal,” said Steven Kaufman of the Kaufman Organization, the landlord of the building, which represented itself in the transaction.
