At the beginning of the mlb jersey 2007-08 season, the Montreal Canadiens were slated for a low seeding by many sports publications. Some publications even had them not making the playoffs at all. Fast forward to the NHL now. The Habs, are at the top of the Northeast division. The Canadiens have the highest goals for in the entire league (tied with Ottawa with 223).
What happened to the Habs to make this change? The biggest acquisition during the off season would be that of Roman Hamrlik on defense. Hamrlik solidified a often leaky defense hockey jersey from last year. After Markov and Komisarek,jordan kicks, the defense was often thin last year. The emergence of Josh Gorges as a solid defenseman has surprised many. Adding large and young O'bryne and verteran Brisboise rounds out the defense.
The offense has been quite the surprise as well. The Habs have become younger and have a lot of rookies on the team. The addition of Andre and Sergei Kostitsyn, nba jersey Maxim Lapierre, Mikhail Grabovsky, have helped fill the holes in the offense, and the production is showing. Add veterans like Saku Koivu (who is slowing up but still putting up some decent numbers), Kovalev, Begin, Ryder,gucci shoes, Higgins, and you have a nice well rounded out team.
