| Knepper's wife of nearly 20 years appeared in the courtroom Thursday,fitness shoes, but offered no testimony during the proceeding.
Detectives with the East Multnomah County Major Crimes Team spent more than 1,000 hours investigating the crime before arresting Knepper at the Gresham Police Department on Monday,June 16, said Troutdale Police Sgt. Marc Shrake.
Knepper’s plea provided him with the lightest sentence he could have faced, Mascal said. Other options would have led to a life sentence with no release option or the death penalty if he were convicted by a jury trial.
According to police records,MBT shoes, Knepper filed for bankruptcy in 1997 and was arrested in 1994 for domestic menacing. In 2006,MBT Chapa, he was cited for second-degree theft and released.
