10 years later, Overbrook's Ron Dayne remembers Heisman
Quiet and unassuming, DayneNFL Football Jerseys enjoyed his moment in the spotlight briefly and then didn't hesitate to move on with his life.
But even now, on the 10th anniversary of his winning the coveted award, Dayne, 31, readily admits that was easier said than done. While he indeed moved on, Dayne is still surrounded by the Heisman frenzy now more than ever.
"It certainly hasn't affected my personal relationships with family and friends or my outlook on life in general," said Dayne. "But as anyone in my shoes will tell you, winning the Heisman stays with you forever."
On Dec. 11, 1999, Dayne -- a star running back atNFL Football Jerseys Overbrook High School and the University of Wisconsin -- was the recipient of the annual Heisman Trophy as the best college football player in the nation. He easily won the prestigious award with 2,042 points when it was announced at the Downtown Athletic Club in New York.
